I’m Tahira, twenty-something & living in London.
I suppose my love affair with food all started when I flew the nest and decided to embark upon University. Growing up with an Indian background, I already had a strong passion for flavour but I’d been brought up enclosed in a bubble. Food shopping piqued my interest & suddenly I realised just how little I had tried.
It’s not that I’m a fussy eater, in fact quite the opposite, I’m an avid believer in always trying something new. I can count on one hand the foods I don’t like but even so, will experiment with flavour combinations that I’m not entirely fond of.
2010 was the year I made the journey from Yorkshire lass to city girl; I was in a new culinary world & it was exciting. You see, I’ve always struggled with the limitations of smaller towns and cities and it wasn’t long before I’d tried everything I wanted. London is different. The idea of a never-ending food expedition was one I couldn’t wait to become a part of.
So here I am, a few years down the line and I couldn’t be happier with my corner of the internet. Food is my passion and regardless of what I’m eating, I want to document my experiences and continue to learn but what I’m most excited about, is challenging my palate.
Afterall, isn’t that what eating is about?
