Shoreditch is filled with many interesting eateries and Blueberry Bar & Kitchen is one of them.
The eaterie serves as a bar in the evening and would be great place for after-work drinks and also hosts beer pong for those that enjoy competitive drinking.
Whilst distinguishing itself as a cocktail bar, Blueberry Bar & Kitchen surprisingly seems to have a wide range of teas, smoothies and coffee available throughout the day. I decided to pick the Mountain tea which arrived in a tea-pot with a flower that blooms in hot water. The tea had light floral notes with a sweet aftertaste.
I decided to order the rib-eye steak which was served with peppercorn sauce, hand-cut chips and a side salad. The steak was chargrilled leaving a smoky taste and had a soft pink centre. At a cost of £12.25, it wasn’t the best quality beef; tough and chewy in parts, but regardless was still enjoyable for the price. In contrast, the peppercorn sauce was thick and too gloopy.
You won’t find the best quality food at Blueberry Bar & Kitchen but if budget comfort food is what you’re craving, then you can’t go wrong.
