THE ORIGINAL TEX-MEX BURGER (ME) & BBQ BEEF BURGER served with chips & onion rings.
My boyfriend & I tend to visit the Oxford Circus area regularly but never dine anywhere nearby. Just off Carnaby Street we stumbled across ‘Carnaby Burger Co’ where it was bursting with people. A busy restaurant is always a good sign. I’m personally not a huge fan of burgers but the other half absolutely loves them. I like them, don’t get me wrong, but I would much prefer food that I couldn’t prepare at home.
My burger was average at best. The interior layers of avocado and bacon were flavoursome, however when eaten as a whole, the burger was a disappointment. My beef was slightly overcooked and the main issue was the ‘bun’ it was served in, it wasn’t a typical bread bun but a ciabatta. The atmosphere also didn’t leave a lasting impression.
Would I go back to Carnaby Burger Co? Probably not. I did find the menu to be slightly overpriced for what it was. Around £10 for the burger with sides added on top which were approx £3 (depending on what you order). I’m happy to pay more for food that blows me away but you won’t be at Carnaby Burger Co.
