After my sister’s graduation, as a celebration my sister wanted to dine at Las Iguanas. I’ve never actually been here before, i’d heard of the place but it never really took my fancy. It might be something to do with my dislike for chain restaurants.. maybe.
Anyway, we ordered a few starters between us which were like tapas dishes, which were lovely. I can’t remember everything we ordered (as they were 5 of us) but everything we tried was pretty tasty.
On to the main course and after enjoying the starters and being pleasantly surprised then came my enchilada… As you can see from the picture above it’s not exactly the most glamorous dish. To top it off it was swimming in beans and not in a good way! There were far too many beans for the dish and it was just too much. I wasn’t impressed. Everyone else also had mediocre mains but mine was by far the worst. Let’s just say i probably won’t be re-visiting.
The only postitives of the Las Iguanas, was the environment. it was beautifully laid out but let’s be honest, who would return to a restaurant where the ambience is lovely but the food isn’t?
