I’m always on the look out for healthy lunch alternatives, as that’s what allows me to indulge on the weekends. I try to keep to the 80/20 rule, where 80% of the time I eat healthy and 20% of the time I treat myself. However, realistically it probably tips more towards 60/40 mark but I try and that’s all that matters, right?
Pure is a lunchtime eaterie serving healthy food and the Moorgate branch that I ventured towards, was in a stunning historic building which gave even more grandeur to the place.
Ranging from salads, wraps to many other delicious healthier treats, I was struggling to make an informed decision.
I settled instead for what Pure is known for, their delicious salad menu which all looked enticing.
I eventually settled for the Casablanca salad consisting of chicken, couscous, spinach and seasonal vegetables which was also served with a dressing of sweet chilli and lime. The salad was well-balanced and tasty, with the couscous light and fluffy and the chicken and vegetables cooked perfectly. My only niggle was there wasn’t much chicken in the salad but regardless, was enjoyable and the dressing lifted each flavour.
Pure was a nice healthier lunchtime option to the constant repetitiveness of the London lunch scene and I’m glad I managed to find a place with an ever-changing seasonal menu. It’s just a shame that they aren’t many in London.
