Viet Eat opened a few months ago on Kingsway, High Holborn and I couldn’t wait to try the bánh mì on my lunch break.
I chose the classic bánh mì which consisted of chicken liver paté, roast pork, pickles and fresh herbs. The chicken liver pate gave an earthy, smokyness to the baguette which was crispy on the outside with a soft centre. I was a little disappointed in the bread as it didn’t feel good quality. However, the mix of ingredients with the fresh vegetables tasted good.
In comparison to Banh Mi Bay, the ingredients weren’t as fresh and I much prefered Banh Mi Bay. However, I wouldn’t count Viet Eat out, as it’s always good having something different to Pret a Manger and Eat just around the corner from work.
