I was incredibly fortunate to be able to visit Dublin as part of the summer work trip. I’ve never been before and was so excited to visit! Whilst we were there we had a 3 course dinner (provided by my company) at the Whitefriar Grill.
The restaurant is quite small but it’s decorated beautifully and is lovely and cosy. It’s so easy to sit back and make yourself feel at home and the waiting staff are incredibly polite aswell!
For starters we were served sourdough with the soup of the day ( i don’t remember the soup) but i remember it being thick and creamy and a pleasure to eat.
The main was obviously the star. The surf and turf was succulent and moist and the chips were crunchy and seasoned well. I loved the way it was presented on a wooden board and overall it was definitely the winning choice compared to other options on the menu. A must try dish!
For dessert i chose the panacotta and although lovely it wasn’t anything special and easily forgotten.
Whitefriar Grill isn’t one of the best restaurants I’ve been to but it was definitely a lovely place to go for date night as you won’t be left unimpressed.
